The amazing tree movers! We need to clear the upper pad where the house was to regrade and compact the soil. All organic material must go. Dan and the guys from Christ in Action worked 11hrs. to get the job done. The young man in the middle is our newest godson Andrey. We celebrated his 15th birthday going bowling then to the Tripps house for dinner and cake. A nice fun and relaxing day. John's first appointment at UCSD Moores Cancer Center is Monday the 28th. I'll update after the appt. Thanks for checking in and keep the prayers coming. Love to all.

April 22, 2008 Birthdays Galore!

Just getting us all together at one time was a chore. Since we're all so scattered we decided on one encompassing birthday party. The combo number of years is 98, hence the number candles. Sam really wanted to have 98 individual candles! I hope we all get our wish. Lots of things happening, so i haven't had time to post. I'll update soon.

April 11, 2008 Nick's 19th birthday!

My baby is 19! Just a small celebration today since there's no room for a party in here. We'll celebrate Jonathan's, Nick's and my birthday tomorrow at a restaurant. We need 98 candles for all our years together. It was very windy and hot today. We really feel the extremes in the motor home. John has a referral to UCSD Moore's Cancer Center April 28th. The nuclear medicine test was delayed.

It's the little things in life.......
We finally have a TP holder in the bathroom. Barry made the brackets to hold it on to the door. John and Nick made it happen! The Sago palm in the picture was the worst burned. It looked like a charcoal ball. It now has a 12" whirl of new fronds. Incredible.

Another day full of meetings. We had three of them today! This evening John and I had to split up and each attend one because they were both important. A lot of the info is a repeat but we didn't absorb all of it the first time around. We are finally preparing to move off the slab so it can be removed. It won't be as nice on the lower pad but the grading can finally begin. My laundry room is almost done but the county won't let us have two temporary power meters. So, when we move the motor home we'll have to move the laundry room too. Tigger has also moved into the laundry room to sleep. He was a bad cat in the 5th wheel so he's banned!!!

April Fool's Day 2008

We finally have most of the burned brush cut and chipped. Two guys came up and spent about 5hrs. chipping. John and I raced ahead with the chainsaw, trying to get more done. After 4 hours he and I couldn't stand up straight. So the free chipping only cost us a chiropractor visit. Sam was checking out how well John's quad climbs rocks! Most of the time I wouldn't watch what he was doing. I don't need any more gray hair. We have an appointment with nuclear medicine for another test on April11th. The doctors are still eliminating sites for the cancer to be. They want to be as sure as possible if he chooses radiation treatment.
