March 28th 2009 Gold and Silver Ball

"BURNED OUT BROTHERS"

"FIRED UP SISTERS"

John and I attended the Soroptomist Gold and Silver Ball with many other Fired Up Sisters and their husbands. Our founder Rene Van Heel was honored for all her efforts in community and goodwill toward the fire survivors.

March 25th No House BUT an Outhouse!

What a kick. These wonderful guys from Solana Beach Presbyterean Church built a shed that will be a bathroom/storeroom on the building site. It's a start.

March 18th 2009

We celebrated another half birthday. John got a beautiful drill bit set, but we removed half the bits! Sorry it's only half a gift. He started this family tradition when the boys were little and so it goes on.

March 12, 2009 Oh what a beautiful thing!

This is a site identification marker. The first building inspector has come and gone. We passed our site inspection. We didn't even study for it! The plans are still being scrutinized by the county. I have a midterm tomorrow, 12 hrs of clinical on Saturday and a resucitation class on Wednesday. John needs me to come up with a lighting plan and pick out windows. When do I sleep?

March 9, 2009 Mapping out the house.

John, Richard and Dave mapped out the perimeter of the house to see how it fits on the lot. There won't be much yard work once the house is built because there won't be much yard. That's OK with me since I got stuck with most of the landscape upkeep. It was always "my" plants that needed attention since I put them there. We're still waiting for the approval from the county.

March 4th It's finally back!

We have the house plans back from the county! Just a few changes needed and we should have a permit. I misplaced my camera so I don't have any new pictures. No surprise, things just all meld together inside the motor home. I found my missing retainer under the desk behind the sewing boxes. Gee, I never thought to look there.
