I had the pleasure of meeting Ken and Marjorie Blanchard. Ken is the author of The One Minute Manager. They lost their house in the fire also. I purchased a copy of the book I had, to get it signed. They both inspired us with their trust in the Lord Jesus.
We have an almost finished copy of our floor plans. YEAH Progress!!!!

We have moved off the hill! It was a day from hell. The power was moved so we had to move the trailers to the lower pad. As you can see by the picture it was not a pretty sight. It was very cold and rainy all day. It was the worst Memorial Day week-end I can remember here. Tigger definitely is going nuts. We moved his house again! He sits in the doorway of the laundry room hoping the motor home will reappear. He doesn't realize we moved down the hill.

Nick received a scholarship today donated by Gwen Stefani. Here he is on stage and with Gwen. (Click on the photo to enlarge it.) We're so proud! The electricity should be in the lower pad this week, then we move. It's a little scary to get rolling but time is running out. The designer for the floor plan is coming on Monday for another look around the site.

We have a well! It was gushing water today. We now need a pump and 10,000 gal. tank. Sam's surprise party was Saturday. I'm glad he and Nick can still play like kids. It warms my heart to see them having fun together. We have a permit to move our electricity to the lower pad. We'll be moving the present homestead so the hardscape debris can be removed. John's radiation treatment starts next Thursday. Please pray with us for positive results. Finally some forward movement.

UPDATE: Our land is barren, our oldest is 21!, we are very boring people, it's cold and raining outside. I hope it's uphill from here. Even our dog doesn't want to live here anymore. The Klein's moved back in. They are also in a trailer, with Preston's girlfriend Luna (a cute black Lab). He is absent most of the day. We collect him or he's delivered at night. John has an MRI on Wednesday then he get's mapped out for radiation on Monday. How fun. I keep reading the positive verses every morning for something uplifting. It usually carries me until the evening then I get worn out. I hope the sun comes out tomorrow. Keep praying for us. I want to look back on this experience some day and be thankful for where it has brought us.
